Steve Teran: Mastering the Art of Movement

With over 35 years of experience training athletes, coaching, and competing, Steve Teran brings expertise and dedication to every aspect of G3. A former athlete in football, soccer, and swimming, Steve discovered the benefits of multi-sport training early on. By transitioning between sports each season, he developed superior conditioning and movement skills—a secret weapon he now passes on to the next generation.

Steve’s journey includes:

  • Coaching Experience: Varsity Co-Head Coach, soccer coach, and obstacle racing trainer with Team P413 (Spartan, Deka, Hyrox Racing).
  • Playing Career: CIF Soccer Champion, semi-pro soccer player, two-time Men’s Duel Fitness Champion, and over 15 years of Top Gun Flag Football.
  • Training Expertise: Decades of working with athletes of all levels, from general fitness enthusiasts to elite competitors.
  • Philosophy: Multi-Sports Training (MST) encourages athletes to play multiple sports for well-rounded development while avoiding burnout and injuries. His “master of movement” philosophy emphasizes conditioning, technique, and resilience as keys to athletic success.

Cynthia Hill-Teran: Empowering Fitness Champion

Cynthia Hill-Teran is an award-winning athlete, fitness expert, and inspiration to thousands. A former Miss Galaxy, Miss Fitness U.S.A., and Tri-Fitness Champion, Cynthia’s athletic achievements are only matched by her passion for helping others. From teaching aerobics at 19 to writing for leading fitness magazines (Oxygen and Max Sports and Fitness) and appearing on ESPN, Fox Sports, and more, Cynthia has dedicated her life to promoting health and fitness.

She has helped many athletes maximize their power-to-weight ratio by creating a “Lifestyle Menu Plan.” Cynthia has also empowered thousands of women and teenagers to lose unwanted “stored energy” (aka body fat) by teaching them how to eat the right calories and build muscle simultaneously. Her approach emphasizes that it’s not just about losing weight but about replacing unwanted stored energy with functional strength and vitality.

Cynthia’s competitive spirit remains strong as she continues to compete in Spartan Races, Hyrox, Deka, and triathlons. She leads by example, inspiring her family to embrace the same active, healthy lifestyle.

Carissa & Olivia Teran: The Next Generation of Leaders

The Teran legacy extends to Steve and Cynthia’s daughters, who embody the family’s commitment to sports and fitness:

  • Carissa Teran is a personal trainer, meal prep leader, and accomplished athlete. At just 14 years old, she became the World Kids Spartan Racing runner-up in the first-ever annual competition. More recently, at 18, she achieved the title of World Champion Runner-Up in DEKA Racing. Carissa has also competed in soccer, cross-country, and now flag football. Her meal prep approach is unique, as she carefully sources the right foods—avoiding harmful seed oils, using only pasture-raised, hormone-free animal proteins, and ensuring fruits and vegetables are organic and non-GMO. Carissa’s attention to detail empowers clients to make healthier, more informed nutrition choices.

Olivia Teran, at just 16, is a multi-sport athlete excelling in track, cross country, girls’ flag football, Spartan Racing, and DEKA Racing. She is also taking on a leadership role at G3 as the head of the Interview Department. Olivia will conduct interviews with coaches, trainers, and medical professionals while facilitating podcasts to provide valuable insights to athletes and their families

Eric Campos: The Mad Scientist of G3

Eric Campos is the visionary innovator and co-head coach of the Yorba Linda High School girls’ flag football team. Known affectionately as “The Mad Scientist,” Eric is a mastermind who thinks decades ahead of the mainstream. His ability to innovate and craft strategies that challenge traditional norms makes him an invaluable part of the G3 team.

An exceptional athlete himself, Eric played alongside Steve Teran for over 15 years in the highly competitive Top Gun Flag Football Division 1 in Southern California. Competing against pros, ex-pros, and Division 1 athletes, Eric helped lead the team to two championship games, finally securing the title in 2001. This intense experience honed his understanding of the game and his ability to think outside the box.

Eric’s approach to coaching is anything but conventional. By thoroughly analyzing CIF rules and designing strategies that work within them, he has influenced rule changes across the sport. His innovative plays incorporate elements of basketball, rugby, soccer, and football, creating a dynamic and unpredictable system that pushes the boundaries of traditional flag football.
